Justin Bieber Sued For Hitting Cameraman With Monster Truck

Celebrity Sightings In New York City - March 05, 2019

Justin Bieber is getting hit with a lawsuit.

According to TMZ, a paparazzi photographer named William Wilson is planning to sue the "Let Me Love You" singer-songwriter for the time he accidentally ran him over with his truck a few years ago.

You might recall, back in July 2017, Bieber inadvertently knocked Wilson down with his 2017 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup as he was pulling away to leave a worship service in Beverly Hills, California. The artist, however, immediately pulled over his vehicle to assist the cameraman once he realized what he'd done, as caught on video (see below).

The 25-year-old reportedly remained with Wilson until local authorities arrived, though police would not pursue criminal charges against the "Sorry" star, as they believed he may have been blinded by camera flashes, rendering him unable to see Wilson, who officers apparently advised should not have been standing in the street in the first place.

Per docs obtained by the celebrity gossip outlet, Wilson says the musician was negligent in the driving accident and is suing Bieber for "permanent disability, emotional damages and general damages."

Following the accident, Wilson shared a video from the hospital where he was treated for unspecified injuries. "Hour before my birthday hits, I get run over by Justin Bieber," the photog says in the clip, adding, "He's a good kid, though. I think the truck was a little too big for him, though."

Wilson believes the performer's inability to see over the front "slope" of the monster truck-style car is what caused the incident. "But like I said, he got out, he was compassionate," he said. "He's a good kid, accidents happen."
