After breaking the record for the longest space flight in history by a woman, astronaut Christina Koch landed safely back on Earth last week, and returned to her home in Galveston, Texas, where she was reunited with the furriest member of her family, her rescue dog, LBD.

Koch tweeted a video of her dog welcoming her home on Thursday as she walked through the front door of her home. Koch's dog, named LBD for 'Little Brown Dog,' can be seen wagging her tail and jumping for joy as she spots Koch approaching through a glass pane door. And once Koch appears inside, she appears to just as thrilled to be reunited with the little pup.

"Not sure who was more excited. Glad she remembers me after a year!" Koch tweeted.

Koch spent 328 days aboard the International Space Station and participated in the first-ever all-female space walk last year. Her extensive time in space was all for science as NASA studies the long-term effects of spaceflight on the human body as the agency prepares for future missions to the Moon and Mars.

Koch is happy to be back on solid ground.

"After 328 days in space, the first six days back on Earth were full of just as much wonder and excitement," she said at a news conference on Wednesday (Feb. 12). "We all live on a wonderful planet and it's great to be back."
