Re-Tree Iowa is iHeartMedia’s initiative to raise money, inspire volunteers, and educate the population in regards to replanting trees to restore the tree canopy that was lost due to the derecho that came through Iowa on August 10th, 2020. An estimated total of 600,000 trees were affected in the greater Cedar Rapids area alone, and roughly one million trees across the state, spanning from Story county through Scott and Clinton counties. Explore this site to learn how you can help with the relief (or re-leaf) effort.
